Writing on a Notebook

About

''Zest Ambition started with
my own quest of career happiness and the realisation that many of us were on this journey too''

For many years, I was trying to fit a round peg in a square hole with my career. I stumbled into a digital career after her Masters Degree and was so grateful to be given a job at that point that I focused all my time and effort making my career ''successful'' (whatever that meant at the time).

There were regular phases of doubts of course and tentatives to look outside the Digital world but mostly I did my best to make it work. Over time though, I had more and more self-directed questions about the meaning of work and the feeling that ''there was something missing'' started to become omnipresent.

To overcome this feeling, I knew that I needed to make a change. However, determining what and how to change in my career was not only extremely time-consuming (hello mental load!) but also one of the most difficult decisions I had to make. It turns out that fear of judgement + fear of failure is not the best decision making cocktail. Stress and Anxiety made a regular appearance, emotions were running high, sleep quality and eating habits were impacted too. Transitioning careers became a more frequent event and my well-being at work turned into a tide, sometimes high, sometimes low with no real way to maintain it sustainably.

It is only after three years and significant personal development work that I found a path that made me truly happy and unlocked my potential...Zest Ambition was born.

Career Happiness

''...for many years I had 'dormant talents' that could have enhanced my performance and productivity...''

When I discovered the world of coaching and started experiencing the benefits of it, I realised how much I had gotten in my own way in the previous stages of my career. I had blind spots, was telling myself stories without realising it and spent my time on autopilot, following dreams and ambitions dictated by society as opposed to crafting each chapter of my career in alignment with my values, strengths and personality.

I was lucky to have managers who believed in me and regularly gave me opportunities to grow. For that, I am very grateful. However, the countless hours I have now spent reflecting on my career journey have shown me that my performance and fulfilment could have been largely enhanced in the early stages of my career if I had:

1- Understood and applied the principles of coaching

2- Experienced career coaching myself

I had more talents than I thought. And so do you. Why? Because our minds are naturally wired to play tricks on us which keep us small and 'safe'. It takes mental practice to rewire our neural circuits to ensure that they work in our favour.

This is why I have made it my mission to support individuals and organisations with unleashing their talents...bringing to their awareness the strengths that they can tap into in order to unlock their performance and fulfilment.

To do this, I use a blend of coaching, mentoring, positive psychology and mental fitness practices. I'm proud to have had the opportunity to train with some of the most renowned personal development experts in the world (Marissa Peer, Shirzad Chamine, David Laroche, etc.) and love to combine their techniques, my experience and the more practical frameworks and theories of the personal and professional development worlds.

A bit more about me

I am an introvert who spent years pretending I was an extrovert. If you are into personality types, I am the INTP type. My enneagram is 3. If none of this makes sense to you then all you need to know is that I am an empath at heart, creative and driven to help others reach their happy place career wise. I used to work too hard, too fast and operated in burnout cycles but I have created new healthy habits and boundaries in my career thanks to the countless hours I have spent studying personal development topics and the investments I have made in training and certifications.

After a decade working in the corporate world developing Digital Strategies for businesses ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies, I went through a progressive career transition and numerous phases of questioning which led to the creation of Zest Ambition.

My mission is to create a society full of happy and talented professionals who have the keys to unlock talent in others.
